Vermont Rideshare is a comprehensive  service that includes carpooling, pool-to-school, employer-based rideshare, emergency ride home, interest-free van loans and private sector van leasing. Promotional efforts and education campaigns by the Rideshare agencies and VTrans increase public awareness of commuter alternatives. Rideshare improves works to enhance Vermont’s quality of life by:

Vermont Rideshare offers an Interest-Free Van Loans through the State Infrastructure Bank. The Vermont Economic Development Authority’s (VEDA) vanpool loan program is easy to use, cost effective, and flexible.

VTrans and local Rideshare programs promote carpooling on radio and television. Local Rideshare Coordinators enter data into the Rideshare database and post carpool classified ads on the Rideshare website at www.vermontrideshare.org. These ads, and marketing efforts improve the prospects for Vermonters who want to carpool.
